A roundup of recent press references to Adam Thomas

A quick search for Adam Thomas often reveals a few articles that we didn't know were out there! Either because Adam is a bit of a lone voice in the inclusive design landscape or just because he flies the flag for disability rights.

On the International Day of Disabled Persons last December our own bookkeepers, Cashtrak, featured Adam in an article, speaking briefly about his career and the work he does today. Instituted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1992, the day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. You can see Cashtrak's article here.

Adam was quoted extensively by Nymas in their September article on inclusive design, specifically relating to bathroom retailers. Drawing on Adam's comments in a recent article in the KBB Review, and a number of other sources, the Nymas team lend weight to the argument that Inclusive design is the only way forward for bathroom and kitchen retailers if they want to provide goods and services to the whole population.

BBG Architecture Life, a news site for the Canadian architectural and construction sector, republishes in full a recent article in the August edition of the KBB Review, encouraging retailers to get involved with inclusive design or risk losing business. The BBG clearly has an interest in inclusive and accessible design issues.
